Starting Studio Grumble

What does it take to make a great video game? Turns out that two friends, an innovative idea, and a whole lot of time is a good start.

Studio Grumble was founded in late 2022 with only one goal in mind: Bring Age of Silver to life. Kate and Matthew started world building the Age of Silver universe at the beginning of 2022 and knew that they wanted Silver’s adventure to become real for others as well. Taking inspiration from predecessors such as Hollow Knight, Ender Lillies, and other metroidvanias, their video game development journey began and has since led to a big dream, a growing team, and a game they hope you’ll choose to play.

  • Every video game starts with an idea which turns into a dream for an entire world. That’s exactly what happened with Age of Silver. Matthew’s idea of a girl with metal powers who had to save the world has quickly grown into an entire rich world full of deep characters, adventure, and hours of fun.

  • We’ve been working on Age of Silver every day for the past year. It’s a passion project for our entire team, and our end goal is to bring Silver’s world to live in a rich, exciting way for players to experience.

  • Since forming the initial company in 2022, Studio Grumble’s team has now expanded to include incredibly talented composer Christopher Nguyen, quality testers, and several other team elements. All are committed to a level of excellence that we plan to make inherent in our game.
